Land of many faces, next to Cabreira, Vieira do Minho has
a unique natural heritage and monumental landscapes, where
the harmony of its mountainous villages, the magnificent
green valleys and the wonderful lakes, give it a beauty done
of silences.

Vieira
do Minho is constituted by 21 parishes with an area of 220
km2. It’s one of the most mountainous councils of the
district of Braga. Vieira do Minho has an involving landscape
that include the Mountains of Merouço, Gerês and
Cabreira and it has an irregular relief that determines the
geographic limit of the Council. The rivers Cávado and
Ave and their affluents, provide places of great natural beauty.
