Resumo
In the northeastern part of the province of Trás-os-Montes (NE Portugal) there exist alluvial deposits, in which both the red color and the coarse sediments are frequent. These deposits that sometimes show evidence oh tectonic activity have thickeness up to 80 meters. Involved in a project in course at present, the aim is caracterise the deposits, define the morphosedimentogenic conditions and determine its cronostratigraphy. Some sedimentological and geomorphological data are presented relatively to the Bragança region. It is possible to recognise the existence of materials associated with fluvio-torrencial conditions and deposited in a basin of tectonic nature.
