Amares is located in the most beautiful region of Portugal: the Minho region.
Amares is a developed town with some leisure areas such as the Caldelas Spas. Here, there are a lot of green areas where you can visit churches and antique monasteries.
In order to better appreciate this area it is necessary to visit this wonderful region. You never forget: “If you love Amares, Amares will love you”.

Return

In our school there are a lot of sectors distributed into five blocks:

Photograph 2: The Library and the Videolibrary

Our library is a good place where ten computers with net connection exist, in order to be used by students according to school regulations. In this space, there is a television, a DVD, a video and a lot of books about several subjects too.

Photograph 4: The Gymnasium and football field
In relationship to the
gymnasium, it is of great dimensions where internal and external sports events frequently take place on a regular basis.

Photograph 5: The student snack bar
The students´snack bar has the function of not only providing light meals but also a place for students to socialise. We would like this area to be more comfortable and attractive. We think that it should have music, television, curtains, some games and other forms of entertainments.

Photograph 6: The exterior of the Preparatory School of "EB2,3 de Amares"
We think that our school is nice, but there are some imperfections, such as the lack of a roof between the blocs which means that when it is raining the life of students becomes very difficult.

Outside the school there are green, garden-likeareas, but sometimes they are grey because of the lack of good student citizenship. At present, a cleaning up campaign is being developed in order to keep the school clean.
