Abstract
Quartz-grain surface textures shows great abundance of chemical ecthing action, some of them after mechanical action. Based on those surface features it was possible individualize the studied deposits. It was observed that in Minho and Lima basins rivers the oldest units shows the most ecthed surface features. Samples from Alvarães basin present different tendency which is justified by local and textural deposits characteristics.
